Council of Commissioners to hear from stakeholders on relocation of General Vanier and John Paul I students and staff

The º£½ÇÉçÇø Council of Commissioners will hold a meeting on Wednesday, August 14 (7:30 p.m.) to solicit feedback following a 30-day consultation period regarding the proposed moves of staff and students from General Vanier Elementary School and John Paul I High School in St. Léonard.

The meeting will take place in the Laurence Patterson Room of the EMSB Administration Building (6000 Fielding) in N.D.G.

Following a decision by the Minister of Education to transfer the General Vanier and John Paul I buildings to the Commission scolaire de la Pointe-de-l’Île, the º£½ÇÉçÇø Council of Commissioners approved two recommendations. General Vanier will relocate to  Pierre de Coubertin Elementary School while John Paul I students and staff will be directed to Laurier MacDonald High School. Both schools will maintain their separate deed of establishment. 

A final vote on the proposals will take place that evening,
